Speed humps installed after a five-year campaign have been ripped out within two days -because they were the 'wrong colour'.

Householders in Sutton Road, Heston, first petitioned the council to introduce safety measures on the notorious short-cut in 2004.

An eight-year-old boy was sexually assaulted at Heston Swimming Pool on Tuesday.

Police shut the Hounslow Council-run pool in New Heston Road this morning (Friday) and a 22-year-old man has been arrested.

The suspect has been released on police bail pending further investigation.

Musicians from places of worship in Hounslow will be taking part in an exciting and unusual concert on Saturday 21 November. The groups, from St Michael and St Martin's Church, the Laxmi Narayan Hindu Temple in Neville Close and the Sikh Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in Alice Way are presenting music as heard in worship in 'Music from the Faiths'. Other contributions will include Anglican and Russian Orthodox Church Choirs, Jewish music, plus the Muslim call to prayer and Quaker silence.
