xmas-card-MC.jpgMerry Christmas from everyone at www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk

I have always been fascinated by travel, writes Chronicle reader Mr C Panks.

As a working class kid in Watford in the 1960s, my little bro and I bundled into the back of Dad's old Anglia van and we drove up to Norfolk where we had family.

My memories are of sitting on cold grey dunes, shivering in swimming trunks and cardie, eating ham sandwiches with sand in them, gazing watery eyed out across the North Sea at the oil rigs being towed out.

Pensioners Alone at Christmas will lay on a festive feast at Hounslow Youth Centre in Kingsley Road, Hounslow, on Thursday, when visitors can also enjoy live music, comedy and games.

springwell-nativity.jpgAcross Heston, schools have spent the last few weeks rehearsing for their Christmas plays.

As you can see from our photo gallery at http://www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk/west-london-videos-pics/ some have gone down the traditional route of featuring Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus, while others have taken a new, modern approach.

However, they all have one thing in common - cute performers, like these youngsters at Springwell Junior School.
